I have two computers linked to the internet through Adelphia Cable modem (Motorola brand). The ethernet cable from the cable modem is connected to a Linkysys etherfast cable /dsl router. Another ethernet cable comes out of the ethernet router into a Zonet 8 port ethernet switch. Then the two computers (netgear ethernet card)are connected to the ports on the ethernet switch.
Normally I can run both computers through LAN gaming and both are able to go online. But sometimes one will fail, or both will fail.
One computer is Win. 2000 Prof. the other has. Win. 2000 and Win. ME but most of the time it is access through Win. 2000.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong with this setup, or maybe it's the hardware problem(bad brand?) Or suggestions for simplier connection or something like that?
