I was wondering if a computer with a higher OS such as WINDOWS XP was introduced to a network here in my house (2 Computers)_which are running WINDOWS ME, show any kind of conflict?
will the other two computers running ME be able to communicate with the third computer that is running WIN XP???

I have no problem with a similar setup right here. It wasn't easy to get started, but it's all fine now. The Home Networking Wizard was a huge PIA. I didn't know what to select because all ot the choices were "dumbed down" for a newbie. Choose "Other" when prompted. LOL!

You should have no problems at all. Only think I would do is make sure my xp machine is fat32 and not ntfs. You never know.
BTW, i have 4 machies networked together using DHCP through a linksys switch....no problems at all
2 winME machines
1 win98 machine
1 win2000 machine
is also a linksys internet router hooked up to the switch to share the cable modem connection....never had one problem
