Hi I am a victim of someone who stuck an extra toolbar in my IE 6 browser when I happened to surf by their page. I want to get rid of that toolbar but I do not know how. I tried to right click but that did not work. Please someone help me.

Click on view, and go to toolbars. You should be able to unselect the toolbar that you don't want

You cant because they have permanently locked it on ie unlock toobars does not work. I have to hide it by pulling the toolbar intersection up. I just want to get rid of it. Please there must be someone with ie6 exerpertise here???

I dont think anyone will know soon because they all assume it is so simple but it was a horrible site that stuck it onto my browser, so if you read this post 10 years from now, I still want to know.

My email address is klumsyboy@hotmail.com or you can leave a msg on my guestbook at my site http://rommp3.2ya.com

Have you tried ad-aware? Run that and do a whole system scan and delete everything it finds. Ad-aware is a good utility for finding and deleting stuff that horrible sites like to put on your computer.

Good luck.

I uninstalled ie6 by going to the setup folder so now I am happy once more. If only netscape 6.2 would work faster LOL. I now use ie 5.5

There really wasnt anything in ie6 that made the upgrade worthwhile. I have zonealarm pro and norton so privacy has never been an issue. oh well thanx for your suggestions.
