Maybe you can help. Within the last few days my default homepage has changed to http://www.newtopsites.com/.

My original homepage was http://www.sysopt.com/. If I now set my homepage in IE6 to sysopt.com and reboot, it changes back to http://www.newtopsites.com/ on the reboot. I have edited the registry entries several times to sysopt.com without success.

My Virus checker does not find any virus on the system (with the latest virus files) and Ad-Aware does not find any spyware on the system.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the newtopsites website might be changing the home page are IE startup time. Which version of Windows are you running? I know that Win98 had MSCONFIG command that will allow you to disable programs that startup at boot time.

I'm running WinXP Pro with IE6. I cannot find the reference to this web page in any other place other than the registry. If I edit it to read Sysopt.com then on the next reboot it reverts to the unwanted page.
