BIOS Beep error assistance

I have a IBM 300 PL. When I turn it on, there is 1 long beep, 3 short beeps, a pause and then 4 short beeps. Nothing comes on the monitor. I put in a different video card, but still no difference. What does the beeps mean?

What type if the bios chip...AMI, Award or Phoenix?

Here is the info i dug up on your ibm 300 pl

The beep code you entered points to a bad system board or a memory module. Try doing a memory swap. If it still doesnt post im guessing its the mainboard.
