What is my browser? What is meant by clicking default? Also what is URL? I can't get an explanation in my manual as to what they mean, when they ask me if I want to use default. Don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Thanks!!

If you are worried, don't be. I run a help desk and find people that can't switch things on - they look at them and ahhh, it's too technical :D

A url is what you type in : i.e. www.sysopt.com
A browser is what you are looking at this page, probably MS Internet Explorer - look at the window title, mine says Sysopt Forums......Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Default is exactly that. It is what the program wants to store and use next time as the, well default.

Who asks you?

Thank you so much for responding. Sometimes when moving around on windows (with AOL), I get one that wants to know if I want to use default , i.e. settings on screensavers, wallpaper, etc. I didn't know what to click because I didn't know what default meant. I appreciate your help!

no worries.
I would stay away from AOL personally, but each to their own. It is useful for new people to the internet, but after that get yourself a different ISP (Internet Service Provider)
