I have used Black Ice, Zone Alarm and Norton Personal Firewall. Black Ice does inbound blocking well and is easy to set up, but does not monitor outgoing traffic. Zone Alarm does in and out traffic, but is difficult to set up. Norton does it all and is easy to set up.
I use Norton Personal Firewall.

I like ZoneAlarmPro (have tried Norton's and standard ZA, and although have no first hand experience, have read extensively all the reviews I could find on others like Black Ice defender, etc.).
I really haven't found ZAPro difficult to set up, and it integrates very well with my Linksys BEFSR4.1 router/NAT. Use this for my little home network (each has licensed ZAPro). Usually ZAPro defaults are all that is necessary when installing. If you have a home network, just add the local addresses to the "trusted" settings.
