I have a XP1800, a gigabyte mobo GA-7VTXE+, ddr 256(2100). everywhere i read i find out that the xp is rated at 1.533, for some reason mine is only at 1.15?
I am new to this motherboard and dont know if anyone can help or has used it before, i just want my processor to run at its full rating, thanks , Darts!@!:confused: :)

Set your FSB to 133MHz (266MHz effective).
It's now @100MHz : 100x11.5=1.15GHz
@133MHz it would be : 133x11.5=1.53GHz

Itried that but it wont let my system boot up, it freezes? does anyone else use a gigabyte board or had the same prob?thanks for the help!! Darts!:confused:

have you tried updating the bios the motherboard drivers disk has software that makes this a doddle good luck anyway
