Are there any benefits of converting an mp3 file that was originally encoded at 160kbps to 100% VBR with MusicMatch Jukebox? Could this improve the mp3's sound quality?

Hello,SithLord075

Sorry, but nope. If you take an mp3 and convert it to another mp3, your going to degrade the sound. And it dosn't matter what you change it to. Suppose you want to convert that file to say the very best vbr. Since mp3 is a compression format, whatever is the source has to be compressed. In this case, it has to be compressed once again. There isn't a way to improve the quality of an mp3 once its encoded.
Hope this helps.:d

It get worst and worst as you recode them to mp3 regardless of what B RATE y0ou used. Oh well, the truth is dude it already is degraded from WAV to MP3 but the point is for people to sample the music. Pathetic huh how techlogy is getting worst instead.
