No particular deal, but when I originally bought my cdrw(8x, a couple of years ago) I went for the cheapest I could find.
It's a Samsung, and despite the price I have burned I'm sure well over 1000 cds with it without a single problem.
Just a word of advice..

Check www.ubid.com every day for a while. If you have patience, you can catch a good deal on one. Be careful to check the quantity and features on items that are going really low, though. If there are tons of them in one lot and not many people are bidding, that can account for the low price. But it's best to read every line twice, in case the others picked up on a disadvantage you didn't.

Checking reviews is also advisable before you place your final order. It can help you avoid a really bad model.

If you can find a LG CD-RW they are good values for the $$$

I basically got a 24x10x40 at Bestbuy for $89.00 after the rebate.
