I have: AMD k6 3D processor 533Mz
256Mb of SDRAM
I'm using the standard fan that came with my computer.
What would I have to do to get it up to 700Mz?
Could you explain how to do this in steps please?

What is the brand and model of board you are using... what is the highest FSB setting and what voltages do you have to play with? Also, what is the FSB on the K6 you are using?
U are using SDRAM, so i would reccomend that you at least get Kingmax PC-150 rated SDRAM, a large HSF for your motherboard chipset, and then i will get back to you after i get the specs of your computer.
Thanks

There is NO way that you will be able to get more than a 50mhz overclock out of a K6-2 using normal cooling. Even with specialized cooling, it's still very difficult. The 500mhz+ chips were also at the end of the line for K6-2 in terms clock speed scaling, so they don't overclock too well, especially past 550mhz.
A K6-2 533mhz runs at a 95mhz bus * 5.5 multiplier. I would try raising the bus to 100mhz which would give you 550mhz. If your system is unstable, then try raising the Vcore 0.1 or 0.2v to try and stabilize it. If it can do that, you can try 575mhz (105mhz * 5.5). Just make sure that you don't take the Vcore over 2.5v for a 2.2v chip or 2.6v for a 2.4v chip. Good Luck.
Could you post a list of your main parts (Mobo, Ram, HD, Video)? Thanks :)

He's right about that much... I had a K6-2 500 + up to 550 stable... 600 crashing lots... even though the board i had supported up to 733, nothing else did. If there ever was a K6 that used the 133 bus, most of the boards out there will not officially support it.
A way i have heard is to modify your motherboard.. but this is a risky buisness.
