Motherboard: Intel PD440FX
Previous BIOS: 1.00.01.DT0
Intented (latest) BIOS: 1.00.09.DT0

I tried to flash it with the proper software and bios and stuff from intel's site. Half way through the flashing, it gave me an error message which said that the flashing cannot be completed. I felt a little adventurous. So, after shutting down power, i set the motherboard jumper for Emergency BIOS recovery mode and put the bootable floppy with the new BIOS in A: and tried booting up. It appeared to continue as said in Intel site (without any output on monitor, as the site said), but after 2-4 minutes, the floppy reading stopped and the PC speaker began to make a continuing beeping sound. (beep-beep-beep-......) until i shut it down. After restoring the jumpers to normal, i tried booting the system up, but still there is no display and the system is not even making an attempt to boot. The only action i could c is the power light on the case flashing (as if the system was in suspend mode), the sound of the fans and the harddrives powering up.

Please Help me......

Have you got acces to any other mother board that uses the same size eprom, and of the same flash ( IE award or AMI or what ever)

the following is worth a try, as it worked for me when after a long day and being tired I flashed a Elite mobo with a TMC mobo bios, well I had a Jetway board that used award bios, so I loosened the eprom leaving just enough contact for the mobo to fire up with the flash utility, once the board was running I pulled the Jetway bios chip and inserted the failed Elite bios, and flashed it with the correct Bios file, on placing it back in the Elite board I was able to regain the mobo.
so it may be worth a try, or you will end up having to purchase a new bios chip.
