As long as its from 98SE to 98SE it will be identical. Curious as to why user decided to remove them in 1st place? Hope ya give them a good slap up side the head as a reminder to not touch what they dont know....steve

but don't those file have to be at a specific place on the disc? Ya know, like physically at a specific sector.

Oh, and don't go too hard on the guy. I learned much of what I know from experimenting on the computers at work. The IT dept had a real love/hate relationship with me. They liked me because I was pretty smart and after a while our dept hardly ever needed to call them over. However, I also brought the entire network to it's knees a couple times...they didn't like me for that. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

On the root i thought stick them on a disk along with sys.exe and then type "sys A: C:"
