Hi! I have a Compaq XL5100. When PC boots up it stops after it counts Ram. It cannot find CD-ROM or Hard drive. I need to look at bios but I cant find right key at boot-up. Can anyone help?

Should be F10.There's also sometimes other F Keys for Compaq diagnostics.Check the Compaq website.They have extensive info.

Press the F10 key when you see the flashing cursor in the right hand corner.

Its the Esc key on mine.

If F10 doesn't work for you, you may have a problem with the diagnostics partition compaq puts on your hard drive. If you don't have one of their Personal Computer Diagnostics floppies you can download a softpaq that will set one up for you.

My board needs the delete key pushed to get to bios.
