I thougt I read a post here(although I can't find it now) about a driver uninstall utility. I have been experementing with drivers for my Elsa Gladiac Ultra GF2, and was wondering what happens to the drivers I have changed. Could they cause a problem with the system, and should unused/unwanted/crappy drivers be gotten rid of? Please advise.
FYI the most stable drivers I have found are the ones that came with the card over a year ago. Go figure!

Thanx

Newer drivers for the same card normally overwrite quite a few of the old ones. When you see older drivers in your hardware database, they are really just the INF files for those old drivers and you must usually supply files again if you want to revert.

The only way that the older drivers would cause you grief is if you actually selected them. The registry loads the drivers and if the registry doesn't specify another driver, you won't be using it.

Yea, I like to use an uninstaller when sampling Nvidia drivers. I also, search using 'Find Files and Folders' and sometimes search the registry when I feeling paranoid, and remove any stragglers. The app I use is Detonator Destroyer, get it here (http://www.3dchipset.com/utilities/nvidia/uninstall/index.shtml) .

Good program to use is the detonator destroyer for geforce cards.
Go over to www.guru3d.com and have a look.

Very good for removing drivers, files etc after loads of updates etc :)
