I have a Dell Latitude PII400, CPU get hot up to 43 degree Celcius
and then hang (about half an hour use)
When it hang I can not boot up anymore
But the next day will boot fine and works fine for another half an hour then hang
Dell Tech support want to change the Mother board, but it cost more than the laptop itself.
Any suggestion would be appreciated
Or anybody know where I can get a replacement EOM motherboard? Is it available?
Regards,

I dont think its your motherboard that's bad. I think it's more a heat related issue. Considering that it always stops around the same time. I think the cooling fan has failed or is improperly cooling.

Have you downloaded the diagnostic software from dell and tested the fan to see if it's dead.

Post back and well see what we can do for you:D
