I have the asus a7v266-e mobo rev. 1004b. I saw that there is a rev 1006 out now and I am wondering if it is a good idea to update your BIOS occasionaly or to do it ONLY if you have problems with the board. The asus info toll about teh revision is not that helpfull :(

I always update to the latest version, but that is me. Be careful and follow the directions or you can turn your computer into an expensive boat anchor.

If you aren't having any problems right now I wouldn't. A bios change is for a problem. So if it is doing what you want with no issues. Don't take the chance.
