I just was bored & thought of this. Which is faster on the net. A 486DX4/100 w/32mb ram & DSL, or a Pentium4 1500 w/256mb ram & 56k modem? I would rather have the 486 in this config. Think about it!

Most definetly a 486DX4/100 w/32MB RAM & DSL The bandwidth is what plays most part in Internet Speed. The video may not refresh as fast as the 1.5Ghz, but the overall Internet speed will be much faster on DLS Vs. 56K..

I would rather have the p4 with DSL. The 486 would probably crash from a data overload. (the computer lab at my school has some old 90Mgz pentiums on a T1, and the system is so slow you dont really notice the t1 speed untill you compare it to the p2 350s the teachers have. (they aint supposed to let students use their comps but my science teacher lets us for "class related research")
