I want to upgrade to a much faster cpu but have no way of adjusting the jumper settings or voltage on my motherboard if I need to... Help! I have scoured the net for sites that include the model but my virtual cup is dry as a bone! That's Acer V75m-1:confused:

Hmm... is that an Aptiva? Here (http://ucsub.colorado.edu/~pahler/Print_Please/AcerV75M.doc) is a link to an IBM doc for supported processors.

Hi, I am too trying to work out what to do with my Aptiva 2170 26G. this has the V75M motherboard that mysteriously has no information on the ACER web site. Where do you get the updated drivers from?
Is it worth doing a CPU change? It has the AMD K6 3D 450mHz in it that it had when it was new.
I was going to do a Graphics Card change the on-board SIS530 is not very good but of course there isn't a AGP port so it means fitting a PCI card of suitable performance. I have found some suitable Geforce 2 type that would be fine I think.
Any advice would be greatly received.
