how to remove a program listed on the add/remove program list on the windows control panel, the problem is I cant rmove the program isnt installed properly and i cant remoe the name listed, it always says: "The log file 'C:\Program files\\Maxis\The Sims\Uninst.isu' is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue." well I know that I can remove it by just installing and uninstalling it again but I dont have the cd anymore, and I want to remove it, I also tried removing the folder itself but still i cant remove the listed name on the add/remove programs

Why are you worried about it? It has no impact on your system performance.

Run regedit. Navigate from the left side to.....

CURRENTVERSION
UNINSTALL
Highlight the program name in the left pane. Choose edit, delete.

I would suggest for you to do a registry backup before deleting anything.
