Where can I find the serial numbers to my motherboard. I lost all the manuals. I have a VIA motherboard and that's all i know. Am I just looking in the wrong places? And if possible is there a way to find out without opening the computer?
Thanxs!:D

Well, here's what I'd do if I were in your shoes.. I'd check out every number written in white on your Mobo with a flashlight and a magnifying glass.. If you're lucky you won't have to remove the board and check underneath. Go with your first instincts and visit the motherboard manufacturer site that you believe your board to derive from. The manufacturer has to have some identification on there some place. Sometimes, an educated guess turns paydirt.!! Good luck.
(I hated to see your question go unanswered. I felt the need to help out.. Hope I was able to.!!)

When you first turn on the computer hit pause when the first screen appears.
On the bottom of the screen there will be a string of numbers.
Example.
2A59I-XXXX-XXXX
or
51_0102-XXXX
or
40-01S5-XXXX
Write this whole line down and post it here and we'll try to find it for you.

According to what I have found it is either a FIC PA-2005 or an FIC PA-2006
Go to the link below and choose the english version do not go to the USA site.
I'm afraid you may have to take the cover off to distinguish which board you have..:(
