The Year of Serious Storage: 1.5TB Hard Drives and Mainstream SSD With the jump to a full one and one-half terabytes of disk space, Seagate has increased capacity by 50% compared to top-end 1TB drives, and raised the bar for desktop storage. That's not the only news, as mobile hard drives continue to get bigger and faster, while vendor adoption rates have increased in solid-state drives, helping to move these closer to the mainstream.
