Low Price and Mainstream Performance: OCZ Dominatrix Laser Gaming Mouse Review

There are plenty of gaming mice on the market, and all user levels have a wide selection of potential choices, and at a wide range of prices. But when it comes to gaming mice, the choices get narrowed down quite a bit. The Logitech G5 and G7 are the most popular gaming mice, simply because of their excellent performance and unique feature sets. Razer also has a full line-up of gaming mice, which includes the popular Copperhead, Diamondback and Lachesis models. This however, did not stop OCZ from releasing the Dominatrix Laser Mouse, which hopes to persuade buyers to look away from the popular Logitech and Razer lineups.

OCZ is looking to attract buyers, specifically mainstream gamers, simply because of the model's very low price. The OCZ Dominatrix has a retail price of approximately $35, and this mouse may provide both value and competitive performance for the mainstream section of the gaming mouse market. The OCZ Dominatrix packs in features usually found in higher-end models, and hopes to perform as if it were a more expensive mouse. It is very difficult to find a mouse that offers the features of the Dominatrix at this price range, so OCZ looks to be on the right track with the Dominatrix.

Let's dig deeper into the OCZ Dominatrix to figure out exactly how its mix of features, driver package, and performance all pan out, and to determine if it is a good choice for the mainstream gamer looking at a sub-$40 mouse.
