The Dynamic Duo: Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and 7000 Review- Page 2/4

Drivers/Software

The Microsoft IntelliPoint 6.2 drivers are bundled with both the Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 and 7000 mice, and can be used on Windows and Mac operating systems. The software updates the Mouse Option from the Control Panel, and adds a new dimension to the choices. This allows you to adjust scroll speed, pointer speed, and the usual options you find, and its location is convenient because you don't have to run any other programs to have your options loaded.

The IntelliPoint software provides some neat options. The magnify feature for example, is a very fun one to have. You can assign the "magnify" function to a button on the mouse, and when activated, it opens a rectangular window, and magnifies the area.

You can also program features like Close Window, Minimize, Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, and Paste onto any mouse button, so you don't have to find keyboard combinations, or right-click. Configuring the IntelliPoint software is a straightforward process, and doesn't require you to be a genius to figure it out.
