14 Million Units and Counting: The Netbook Market Explodes The netbook is not only the hot holiday gift for 2008, it's also a marketing phenomenon, with 14 million units sold in its first full year. The market is segmenting as well, with 9-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch models vying for your dollar, and a growing series of "lifestyle netbooks" in new colors, patterns and form factors.
