Special Ops: The general term given to select military units that typically undertake secretive missions of stealth, unconventional warfare, or extreme delicacy.

Long known for its overclocked RAM, OCZ offers up a new memory kit that's, ironically, anything but secretive. The name alone of the company's PC2-6400 Special Ops Edition Urban Elite product is ostentatious and lengthy enough that concepts like speed, urgency and subterfuge seem totally misapplied. That's to say nothing of the modules' fast DDR2-800 speeds, advertised latencies of 4-4-3-15, and eye-catching finish.

That's not to say that the product won't live up to the "elite" aspect of the name. It certainly looks the part -- but SysOpt is no sucker for a pretty face, so we'll push it 'till it stops, change some settings, and push it some more! Of course, finding the limit is all part of determining where OCZ's Special Ops Edition Urban Elite modules fit in the market, aiding us in a value assessment.
