In addition to InterVideo WinDVD Suite, Asus includes several utilities on the driver CD; Ai Suite for “performance tuning”, Asus Update for BIOS, PC Probe II for system monitoring, and Norton Anti-Virus.
The Ai Suite menu screen shows vital statistics from your overclocking adventure, with tabs for Ai Gear, Ai N.O.S., Ai Booster, and Q-Fan.
Ai booster allows setting CPU bus clock rate and multiplier, memory ratio, and PCI Express frequencies. The multiplier adjustment didn’t “stick” for our Core2 Duo E6300 sample, and a higher-class CPU may be required to enable it.
Ai N.O.S. is an automatic-overclocking utility with multiple profiles, and A.I. Gear is a power management utility, again with multiple profiles. Q-Fan (not shown) enables or disables automatic fan controls.
Asus PC Probe II is the company’s latest hardware monitor version, and appears to be fairly accurate with our particular hardware, BIOS, and driver combination.
