Fan and Installation Details
Cooler Master labels most of its own fans these days, this particular model supplied by the little-known manufacturer Chang Feng Electronics (not to be confused with the better-known Changfeng Rubber Products, of course). An oversized blade increases airflow to 41.6CFM at 1800RPM (no pressure specified) for extremely silent cooling at 22dB (no distance specified). Estimated at 40,000 hours MTBF, the "Long Life" bearing lacks any typical ball-bearing noise or feel, so we'll assume it's a sleeve design.
The Hyper TX fan can be voltage or PWM speed controlled, and does not require a PWM plug to reach its full rated speed.
Installation is as simple as positioning the mounting pins over their holes and pushing them in. Removal requires a quarter-turn of the head using a flathead screwdriver.
