Bigger Cooling, Smaller Footprint: Cooler Master Hyper TX (Intel version) Review- Page 1/5
September 20, 2006
By Thomas Soderstrom

Oversized coolers offer the advantages of reduced fan speed and noise, while often exceeding the capacity of smaller/noisier competition. But users don't always have the space around their CPU socket to mount such monsters. Cooler Master's Hyper series turns the sink sideways to reduce mounting space, and its Hyper TX is the series' latest revision.

Designed for ease of installation, the Hyper TX features lightweight aluminum fins over three compact U-shaped heatpipes, which serve to reduce motherboard stress, decrease mounting space, and simplify mounting hardware. With all of these ease-of-use features, can it still deliver the high cooling, low noise, and moderate price needed to deliver the value and performance SysOpt readers expect?
