Retailers will be pleased with a package design that highlights product features. A front window shows the entire cooler, and a rear window shows off the quality contact surface.
But it’s what’s inside that counts! The CNPS8000 features aluminum fin construction and four copper heatpipes, cooled by a 92mm adjustable dual ball-bearing fan.
Zalman continues setting the highest quality standards with a completely flat copper base machined to a nearly-polished finish. Though it lacks the gold-plated oxidation protection noted in our VF900-CU Review, it arrived with not so much as a tarnished fingerprint. In fact, this is only our second copper CPU cooler base to arrive without “green fingerprints," with the first one also being a Zalman.
Another attractive feature: This is the first heat-pipe CPU cooler we’ve received with smooth, crinkle-free bends in the pipes. Quality everywhere!
