Using SECC to Combine Features with a Low Price: SilverStone Kublai KL03 Review- Page 1/5
December 3, 2008
By Theo Cevallos and Ian Walters

When SilverStone created the Kublai series just over a year ago, the company focused on lowering manufacturing costs, without losing any features, cooling prowess or structural integrity, and the primary method of accomplishing this was through the use of SECC steel for the majority of the chassis. This was combined with some aluminum accents, and it allowed SilverStone to add a few extra features and ensure a good build quality design, while offering it to the market at a very reasonable price.

The SilverStone Kublai KL03 is their third and newest release in this product family, and it has a nice mix of aesthetics and features, while offering the high-end buyer a very capable mid-tower case design that can even handle Extended ATX motherboards. Let's take a closer look at the KL03, and see if the SilverStone engineers can live up to the old "third time's the charm" adage.
