The StealthXstream features a now-familiar cooling design with a 120mm fan on the bottom, pulling warm case air away from the motherboard's CPU area and expelling it through a low-restriction honeycomb mesh rear panel.
The "Full Range" sticker below the power plug indicates the StealthXstream's ability to automatically switch modes for 110V or 220V sources.
A quick look at the power output label shows each of its 12 volt rails exceed typical per-rail limits of competing 600W units, but with a combined 12V limit of only 48A.
Platform power is provided by a split 20+4 pin (24-pin) ATX lead, a bound-together 4+4 pin (8-pin) ATX12V lead, and two bound-together 6-pin PCI Express Graphics power connectors.
Three more leads support drive connections. From left to right, the first lead has three large four-pin Molex connectors; the second has a small four-pin Floppy connector plus two large four-pin connectors; the third powers three SATA drives.
An "SPI" part number on the OCZ StealthXstream 600W power supply's larger transformer indicates it was manufactured by Sparkle Power International, and the circuit board itself is labeled FSP700-80GLC, a 700W-capable board supplied by Sparkle Power's parent company Fortron Source. The StealthXstream 600W has greater per-rail capacity than the 700W unit on which it's based, but with lower combined capacity.
It's important to note also that the unit lacks 80-Plus certification, which isn't necessarily an indication of anything amiss, but it may dissuade some buyers. OCZ, for its part, does indeed rate the product at 80 percent efficiency under normal loads.
The lid contains a Yate Loon D12SH-12 120x120x25mm cooling fan, capable of a maximum 88.0 CFM at 2200RPM and 40dB. The StealthXstream's automatic fan controller keeps it operating at whisper-quiet speeds under typical loads.
OCZ also includes a four-page specification booklet, U.S. power cord, and four standard mounting screws.
