I thought they are backward compatible and, in fact, a 2.0 flash drive is recognized. Asus told me to update the BIOS to see if that would solve the problem, but before I do that I want make sure that in case of a problem, I can revert to old MOBO settings and be able to boot. The 3.0 ports on my MOBO (p8z77-v Asus) do not recognize an external HDD that is 2.0.
I thought they are backward compatible and, in fact, a 2.0 flash drive is recognized.
